Non-ablative fractional laser 1565nm (ResurFX)
ResurFX laser utilizes laser beams that penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin, stimulating collagen production without causing damage to the skin. The increase in endogenous collagen promotes greater firmness and luminosity.
Indications:
-
Attenuation of acne, post-surgical, or traumatic scars
-
Reduction of recent and old stretch marks
-
Diminishment of periorbital and perioral wrinkles (smoker's lines)
-
Lightening of discolorations (melasma, lentigines)
-
Effective reduction of enlarged pores
Thanks to its cooling contact tip, the procedure is generally well-tolerated without the need for anesthesia. The treatment is quick and compared to ablative lasers, it has a much shorter recovery time, usually less than 1-3 days. After the treatment, the skin may appear slightly red, swollen, and rough, but patients can typically resume their daily activities the day after the procedure.
It is advisable to avoid sun exposure until the skin has fully recovered. Improvement in pore size is immediately visible after the first treatment session. Reduction of wrinkles, discolorations, and scars becomes evident after 3-5 sessions spaced 4-8 weeks apart. The improvements will continue up to 6 months after the final treatment due to the ongoing collagen production stimulated by the laser.
This procedure can be combined with intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy simultaneously if there are also lentigines, rosacea, or spider veins, and is then referred to as photofractional treatment.
