Microneedling / Mesoneedling

Microneedling is a procedure that stimulates the natural production of collagen and elastin by micro-needling the skin, improving its texture, hydration, and firmness. The results can be enhanced by using substances such as hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, depigmenting agents and growth factors that penetrate the deeper layers of the skin through the punctures that act as micro-channels for these bioactives (mesoneedling).

Indications:

  • Reduction of acne scars, post-surgical or traumatic scars

  • Reduction of stretch marks

  • Reduction of fine lines and sagging skin (face, neck, décolletage, and hands)

  • Lightening of pigmented lesions (melasma, lentigines)

The treatment is performed under topical anesthesia, applied 30-40 minutes before the procedure.

The result is visible a few days after the first session. The number of sessions required depends on each case, usually performed at intervals of 3-4 weeks until the desired outcome is achieved.

After the procedure, the skin may present mild erythema that can last up to two days, which can be concealed with makeup. It is an effective alternative to chemical peels and lasers when a quick recovery is desired.

To ensure optimal results, sun exposure should be avoided in the weeks following the treatment.

Contraindicated in pregnant or lactating women and patients with active herpetic lesions.
