Psoriasis Consultation

The Psoriasis Consultation is under the care of Prof. Dr. Sofia Magina.

In this consultation, patients with moderate to severe forms of psoriasis, who have not responded satisfactorily to topical treatments (creams and ointments), are evaluated.

At Clínica de Dermatologia Prof.ª Sofia Magina, we provide all current therapeutic options for managing patients with psoriasis. We are certified by the General Directorate of Health as a Prescribing Center for Biological Agents for plaque psoriasis in both adult and pediatric patients.

The therapeutic options used in our clinic include Phototherapy, conventional systemic medications (acitretin, cyclosporine, and methotrexate), and biotechnological medications currently approved in Europe (etanercept, adalimumab, ustekinumab, secukinumab, ixekizumab, brodalumab, guselkumab, and risankizumab).

After a thorough evaluation of the patient, considering the type and severity of psoriasis, its impact on the patient's quality of life, the history of previous treatments, and any association with other diseases, especially psoriatic arthritis, the best therapeutic option is decided collaboratively with the patient in a personalized manner.
